We are Johnnie and Timothée, owners of Atelier Coffee.
Since the day we met at a hostel in Bangkok in 2017 we have had a recurring discussion; what makes the best cup of coffee? Over the last 8 years we fell in love, started a family, and founded Atelier Coffee in Teton Valley, Idaho. There’s a reason it’s called the Gem State!
Our original and steadfast goal has always been to provide high-quality, specialty coffee at an affordable price. We started by opening our own coffeeshop in Johnnie's hometown just outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and several protected lands including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park . 3 years later, we sold our brick and mortar to focus on the beans themselves. We couldn’t have known the direction Atelier Coffee would go in, but it seems fitting that our name means “Artisan Workshop” in French. We create unique and custom roasts with personalized branding like an artist in their studio; never stopping until it's perfect. We are happy to stay behind the scenes, ensuring each sip speaks for itself.

Our farms are ethically-sourced; prioritizing partnership with organic and some woman-owned farms of unique origins and flavor profiles. We practice sustainable roasting techniques like the Mountain Water Method for our decaf roast, use eco-friendly machines, and implement recycling programs like upcycling our used grounds with local farms.
